    i remeber haveing to memorise it in high school, but it was presented so boreingly, like history, i didnt retain much of it, college level classes are so much more intersting, from my experience anyway

      Yes, my seven year old son Christopher has been teaching me locations on the world map that hangs on his wall.
      "This is Madagascar. There has never been a war here, and they have orange monkeys. Go ahead, put your finger on it."
      
      Now, if our teachers had been this colorful in their teachings, I may have retained something. "Ah, yes, lovley Madagascar with the orange monkeys."

          Those are lemurs, not monkeys, my dear.
          
          And Madagascar is the large island off the southeastern coast of Africa.
