Prisons and the Nation

More money for education, less on prisons.

The marijuana should be legal. I have heard a couple arguements on the legalization of all drugs and have not yet been convinced.

Open prisons are an interesting idea... I do not think they would work here though.

The problem with Prisons is the people in them. The system takes people that maybe shouldn't have been sent there and makes them into people that could be sent back. Prisons help create our crime problem, but we do have a crime problem. That's the really sad part.

More attention to education, drug treatment, community based courts and diversion programs that suit local community needs and abilities. Government paid mentoring on release from any prison to anyone that needs a little more help learning how to contol their behavior and passions.

    Marijuana is illeagal? Well, shit.

What's an open prison? I think anyone violent enough to REQUIRE imprisonment should stay there.

"Open prison" I don't know the real name for it, is a prison without walls. If the people ever try to leave, they have to go back to real, regular prison. I saw this english film about it called Green Thumb...? I guess the idea is more focused on rehabilitation than punishment.
